  1. @starsky51 i like virtualbox but i’ve been using VMware lately it seems to handle some of th equipment I need best than virtualbox though they both have their pros and cons

  2. @monkapotomus I plotted to do the same thing (get a really set alight linux distro and use virtualisation) but when i realised that 3gb can run, vista with 2 virtualised servers, i never bothered switching! like virtualbox!

  3. i have a mainframe with 256mb of ram and a desktop of 512 mb of ram. LXDE is screaming quick on those apparatus. while Gnome chokes a bit and KDE croaks. LXDE is rotary into a splendid DE.

  4. ahh reading chats that would make implication! Ok I take back half of my bitch then. only HALF =)

i did install opensuse (KDE) 2 days ago on my first pc & now on my second pc and it work perfect, i like it.

  6. I have an ancient PPC running xubuntu, since occasionally I need a GUI

  7. @monkapotomus you do revelation and like to keep as much RAM free as doable? ha?!

  8. jupiterbroadcasting

    @irishwars YEP!

  9. i once installed SUSE with BtrFS and GNOME, I would have wanted to give it a try for like one or two weeks, but not anything worked and it was just slow and shitty…

  10. just buy snesdroid from the andriod marketplace. I bought the app, place 20 roms on my sd card and can play them all perfect. You need a buzz with multitouch for excellent gameplay though.

  11. Why do your vids always get wedged on me… i always have to skip 30s ahead to get it loading over again.

  12. I like last week’s NPR-style intro best.

  13. i use openbox on my quad core :) (but i do a lot of revelation so i like to keep as much RAM free as doable)

  14. @bamdadkhan Excellent call!… Also, in my encounter, if you tell Ubuntu to fix any bugs you find they nearly always tell you to take your issues upstream… It seems they are modest more than (re)packagers.

man… i don’t want to get caught up in distro hopping, but i’m a perfect linux newb and i want to try some new equipment above and additional than just ubuntu..
ubuntu’s splendid, but man… opensuse is looking sweet cool.

  16. fyi, bryan, canonical, who are ‘all about linux’, contributes jack to kernel, xorg, glibc etc. development, while red hat, who ‘make a living from windows software’ (while their enterprise linux suspiciously runs on nearly each huge ma?tre d’h?tel) pushes all of their patches upstream. and don’t act like you don’t know it!

(i don’t dislike either of them, but let’s be factual, okay?)

  17. New GP2X device and a pimped out new ReadyNAS?! Wow, I’m inane to have a busy year.

  18. They do this show live, chris is reading the chat room all through the show, he is not ignoring bryan.

Delight place the show notes/links in the description!!!!! It’s so annoying to have to go to the site and find it.

  20. You know what I’ve started doing each episode…Just surveillance how modest Chris actual pays attention to his co hosts lol. Lay off on the coffee man. You could not look more bored when other people converse in.

You guys are all the Kings of cutting each other off lol. You get soo excited about what your about to say you don’t pay much actual attention to what each other are adage

I soothe like you guys tho but I had to bitch a modest. Just take an extra moment and validate there opinions haha. =)

  21. Cool show.

I’m here just imagining what a Fedora and/or Red Hat interview would be like…and I’m just smiling from ear-to-ear at the plotting of it.

  22. the gp2x device isn’t competing with the dosage promote… It’s competing with the dingoo, and the pandora, and possibly the AA In tears Book

  23. question for all the tech people. What would cause inconsistent arrangement speed on a wireless (802.11 style) internet stream while viewing video on youtube, etc… I keep being paid told it’s not throttling, though when I view more than my 5th one I keep being paid connection reset by peer returns on my wireshark report.

  24. would you stop showing cinema of nasal cavity, chris?! i’m tiresome to have breakfast while surveillance the linux proceedings show.. xD

  25. Richardarkless

    Awe-inspiring intro :D
